NOTE: WAITLIST FOR EATING DISORDER TREATMENT

Perspective is essential in creating a safe and clear path for your goals in therapy. Helping you gain perspective may give you a moment to breathe and realize that this journey may at least be doable; or at least that we can try together. I enjoy utilizing Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), strengths-based approach, and motivational interviewing techniques. These skills can help see down the road a little clearer.

I obtained a Bachelors of Science in Behavioral Science with a concentration in Human Services from York College of Pennsylvania. Between then and obtaining my masters degree, I completed a series of nursing pre-requisite courses, but realized my heart was truly in clinical therapy. I returned to school to pursue a Masters of Social Work with a concentration in Advanced Clinical Practice from Walden University. My field work included treating brain injured patients at Sinai Hospital’s RETURN! Program where I ran groups and provided services to the brain injury community. Additionally, I worked with a private practice specializing in Eating Disorders. The majority of my clinical background has been in inpatient eating disorder treatment. I spent three years working with The Center for Eating Disorders at Sheppard Pratt Hospital in their inpatient, in-person and virtual PHP, program.

I also treat depression, anxiety, life transitions, adjustment disorders, and body image issues. I also provide transgender affirming care and am trauma informed.

I use humor and joy in my work and it is so important to know that you are NOT your mental illness.

While not providing therapy, I enjoy being with my family, spending time outside, writing, and singing. I also enjoy crafting, and I love my dogs.
