No matter the magnitude of your struggles, my intention is to meet you where you are and walk alongside you until the burden feels less heavy. I have a true passion for helping others feel validated, accepted, and supported on their journey to mental wellness. While bringing a peaceful and positive presence to sessions, I convey a style that is warm, non-judgmental, and interactive. My goal is to hold space for you to feel empowered to share your story.
I specialize in working with clients who are seeking relief from depression, anxiety, stress, grief, relationship struggles, difficult life transitions, low self-esteem, perfectionism, disordered eating, body image concerns, and other general life challenges. We will work together to explore thought patterns, develop greater insight, increase self-compassion, and challenge behaviors that are not serving you. I use a blend of therapeutic styles tailored to your needs, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Motivational Interviewing.
I earned my Master of Social Work degree from Temple University and my Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Work from Millersville University of Pennsylvania. Over the years, I have gained experience in a variety of settings, including homes, schools, communities, primary care offices, and local departments of health. I have always strongly believed that therapy can be beneficial to everyone. No matter what life situation you are currently facing, having an impartial sounding board can prove to be invaluable on your journey through life.
As your therapist I will work with you to rediscover yourself and identify paths toward wellness. I approach each client relationship and each session guided by what your unique needs may be.
I have fifteen years of experience helping adults, couples and families struggling with depression, anxiety, life stressors, anger management, relationship distress, and low self-esteem. When working with couples and families I focus on developing healthy communication skills and empathy in order to achieve desired goals.
Prior to joining Insight Wellness of Maryland, I was a clinical services coordinator for a thriving outpatient mental health clinic and also provided therapy to adults. I received my Master’s of Social Work from Gallaudet University and my Bachelor of Science in Psychology and Deaf Studies from Towson University. Age 14+ to Adults
I deeply believe that seeking therapy services represents a strong desire to balance internal experiences and better understand one’s beliefs and actions. It is through that better understanding and insight that one develops their own path to life satisfaction. As a therapist, I see my role as one to assist in the exploration of self that will manifest in the ability to make the changes one has identified are important. My goal is to help you reveal your own truth and sense of peace and stability.
My practice is integrative and person centered. I often employ cognitive interventions so that a client may reflect on their own beliefs and narrative. My work has been enhanced by additional training in Mindfulness based interventions, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT).
I hold a Masters of Science in Counseling Psychology from Loyola University in Maryland. As a licensed therapist since 2009, I have been providing counseling services, including community and hospital settings to both adolescents and adults. I have a special interest in and am highly seasoned in family work. I am thrilled to join the team at Insight Wellness of Maryland and very much look forward to being a part of your journey.

I believe therapy is a wonderful resource to help individuals get through many of life’s curveballs. Often times our behaviors that benefit us in the short-term can cause problems down the road. Keeping an individual's values in mind I guide my clients in addressing these patterns of behavior by incorporating mindfulness techniques along with CBT and DBT modalities.
I obtained my master’s degree in Counseling at McDaniel College and received my bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Salisbury University. I specialize in the treatment of eating disorders* and worked in an intensive eating disorder treatment facility for the past 3 years. I also enjoy working with individuals struggling with anxiety, depression, life-transitions, school stress, and general unhappiness in their life. My goal in all therapeutic relationships is to gain trust with my clients through creating a safe environment. In this space we can work to develop healthier coping skills and create a more authentic and purposeful life.
