Individual Therapy

Children - Teens

As a young adult, I truly believe that children are our future. To shape a better tomorrow, we need to provide avenues to ensure that children are healthy – physically, mentally, and emotionally. I utilize a safe, collaborative, and person-centered approach to my therapy, as each person has their own unique set of needs. I will be my client’s biggest advocate, while also openly including their caregivers or immediate family members involved to ensure a well-rounded therapeutic relationship. Areas of interest include children and teens with anxiety, depression, ADHD, school refusal, and behavioral issues.

I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology, as well as a Bachelor’s degree in Family Studies from Towson University’s Honors College, where I also played on the Women’s Lacrosse team for 5 years as a starter and captain. I am currently under the clinical supervision of Amy Miles, LCPC.

Before I joined Insight Wellness, I completed a year-long advanced internship for the Carroll County Youth Service Bureau. This experience provided me training in individual and group therapy, as well as specialized training in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT). The combination of my life-long involvement in team sports, my education and mental health training background has prepared me to provide empathetic and unconditional care to youth and
their families.

In addition to my internship at CCYSB, I have a plethora of different experiences working with children, adolescents and their families. I have been a lacrosse coach for elementary-middle school children for 6 years, assistant teacher in a 2nd grade classroom, and during my senior year of college completed a semester-long internship for the Law Offices of Carl Gold.

I am so excited to join you on your personal journey!
