Insurance 

Our practice currently accepts the following insurances: Aetna, Carefirst of Maryland, BlueCross/BlueShield - Blue Choice, Cigna/Evernorth and some EAP Plans. Not all clinicians are in-network with all plans - please complete an Insurance Verification Form, which must be approved prior to initial appointment, a tentative appointment date will be given and confirmed upon verification of insurance.  

For all other insurance companies we are considered out of network providers; however, services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance or employee benefit plan, depending on your out of network benefits. We are happy to submit for reimbursement directly to your insurance company, as an added service.

 

Please check your coverage carefully by asking the following questions:

• Do I have mental health insurance benefits?

• Do I have a deductible? What is my deductible? Has it been met?

• How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?

• What is the coverage amount per therapy session?

• Is approval or prior authorization required from my primary care physician or by the therapist

 

Reduced Fee - Sliding Scale - Intern Services
*Reduced fee services are available on a limited case by case basis and not available to clients who wish to utilize insurance benefits. Please discuss with our care coordinator or potential therapist the need for a sliding scale space. Services with an intern is a great option to reduce your cost.

Licensed Master Level Clinicians - ONLY SERVICING MARYLAND AT THIS TIME - Psychotherapist I LMSW/LGPCs are now accepting some insurance and providing sliding scales,

as low as $75 per session, this is a unique opportunity to get 2 for the price of 1!****

 

Intern Program (FALL 2024) are currently enrolled in graduate school completing their

advanced internship as counselors in training, while they are still learning, they are closely monitored

and cases are reviewed daily with a clinical supervisor. You would be getting your treatment assessed for

progress, techniques & skills, as well as planning the course of treatment.

****LMSWs/LGPCs are recent graduates who hold a master's degree as well as a license to practice

counseling by the State of Maryland. They are required to obtain clinical hours, supervision both

individual (and group) in order to become fully licensed to practice independently. If you see an

LM/LG, then your case will be reviewed weekly by a clinical supervisor, who will also impact your

treatment; in addition, monthly case presentations in group supervision maybe also provide

additional feedback for your treating therapists.

 

Payment 
All major credit cards are accepted for payment. 

 

Cancellation Policy 
You will be responsible for signing a Financial Counseling Contract. You will be required to have a credit card on-file, to hold your regular appointment times. If you do not show up for your scheduled therapy appointment, and you have not notified us at least 24 hours in advance, you will be required to pay the $100 cancellation fee ($50 for Interns) and your card will be charged. If you miss 3 session or more you will be discharged from services.

This policy is put into place to ensure that our clinicians get compensated for their time as we are unable to bill insurance for services that do not occur.
