EMDR Intensives, Training, Supervision & Consultation

**Not Accepting Clients**

I am mindfully oriented, interactive, relational, and attachment based. My therapeutic approach focuses on identifying and challenging current thinking patterns, assessing and exploring nervous system function, as well as exploring past familial and personal experiences to change lives from the inside out.

I remain present, grounded, and attuned in session; adapting services to meet the needs of my clients. I offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. Over the years, I have completed additional training in various areas including extensive Eating Disorder training both individual and group therapy settings, following somatic treatment methods and Health At Every Size (HAES) Principles. In addition, I hold a Mindfulness Meditation Certificate, have completed TF-CBT, CPT, DBT trainings, and extensive Polyvagal Theory trainings. Including becoming a Certified Remote Facilitator of SSP to help regulate the nervous system through an auditory listening protocol.

As a trauma specialist, I have completed extensive trauma training including: Trauma Certification - Level 1 with the Ferentz Institute. EMDR Level 1 & 2 Training with EMDRIA Approved local Trainer/Consultant Stacy Stoddard, LMFT. I am finalizing my application to become a certified EMDR therapist. I have taken additional advanced EMDRIA approved training in EMDR in Perinatal Period, Safe & Practical EMDR with Complex PTSD, and EMDR and Eating Disorders. The Group EMDR for Extensive Resourcing as well as EMDR Intensives will be offered in the future.

In addition to providing therapy and growing group practice, I co-created & co-hosted a podcast for mental health clinicians, Insurance Answers Podcast, which has had hundreds of thousands of listens! I provide consultation to clinicians who want to grow a practice, navigate insurance, as well as explore complex clinical decisions. I am developing various continuing education courses to further the practice of counseling. I began teaching as an Adjunct Faculty member in 2017, at University of Maryland School of Social Work, teaching Clinical Social Work with Addictive Behavior Patterns, Paradigms of Clinical Social Work, as well as Advanced Interventions in Clinical Social Work.

I am a board approved supervisor for both the Board of Social Work Examiners & Board of Professional Counselors.
