It can be easy to get stuck in patterns that no longer work for us, especially when trauma, depression, anxiety or life transitions hit us hard. Are you looking for someone who gets it and can be a supportive guide and compassionate challenger as you move toward the best version of yourself? If so, I might be the right therapist for you. Working together, we can identify and process the experiences that have built you into the person you are today, and then re-work the pieces that are no longer serving you.
I work best with those who are willing to dig deep and process rooted emotions and issues, even if they are painful. The only way to heal it, is to feel it! My approach to therapy is person-centered and eclectic, meaning I utilize various modalities (CBT, DBT, Somatic Healing, etc.). By identifying your personal strengths, we can leverage them to facilitate
change in a way that makes the most sense for you. I believe that therapy should be a collaborative process and will always meet you where you are in your journey.
I attended the University of Maryland School of Social Work and have been licensed since 2016. I am well versed in LGBTQIA+ related challenges and have worked extensively with clients who have intersecting identities. I have been trained in the WPATH standards of care for gender affirming treatment and care deeply about creating a space that not only allows you to be your most authentic self, but helps you thrive!
I am a board-certified supervisor for both social workers and professional counselors. I also work with many graduate level students as they train to join the field.
